NEW DELHI: Delhi based Aerens Gold Souk International on Thursday announced to open a 33-acre Gold and Diamond Park at Kalamassery. Aerens Gold Souk International’s park will costs around Rs. 450 crore.
Aerens Gold Souk International Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director Ashish Gupta said, “The manufacturing facility at the park will be ready by September 2011 and it may take three more years to complete the project.”
“Encouraged by the success of the Gold Souk Grande mall in Kochi, we plan to set up two more malls at Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode with an investment of Rs 150 crore each. The company has spent Rs 100 crore for the Kochi project.. The upcoming Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram Gold Souk Grande will house 5-star hotels as well,” he said.
Aerens GroupAs per the company release, the park is conceived as a landmark for jewellery manufacturers, retailers, artisans, exporters and wholesalers, where they can interact, network, source and promote business prospects. As for jewellery retailers, the presence in such a mall will give them exposure to national and international audiences, trends and quality standards.
The Souk will also house leading jewels from India and abroad, Avenue Montaigne – India’s Largest store for branded jewellery, watches and lifestyle accessories and Designer’s Gallery.
The new park will help enhance the employment opportunities in Kerala as well it will also facilitate standardisation in the industry and creation of products that are acceptable in international markets. The park will also preserve the Kerala’s traditional jewellery industry, making available the latest technologies.
Gold Souk Grande Kochi is a shopping mall, partially open for public. With 500,000 square feet of retail space this is slated to be one of the largest malls in the city of Kochi, Kerala.
