Sachin Tendulkar Signs 2-Year Deal with Castrol to Promote its Brands


NEW DELHI: Cricket Star Sachin Tendulkar has signed a two year deal with Automobile lubricant maker Castrol India as its brand ambassador. Sachin will now promote the brands of Castrol, however, the deal amount has not been disclosed yet.


As the brand ambassador of Castrol, Sachin will endorse its various brands like Castrol Power1, Activ and GTX. He will be featured as the face of company’s cricket initiatives, which according to company’s statement revolve around the passion, innovation and technology that go behind delivering “Winning Performances”.


When Sachin was contacted for the confirmation he said, “I am really excited about this partnership with Castrol since they are one of the world’s great brands and have the same passion for performance that I have on the field.”

“Their oils are known for consistently delivering under extreme pressure situations, again something I am quite familiar with. I am also very passionate about motorsport with which Castrol has been associated for over a century. So to me, this partnership seems to be the perfect fit,” he added.


As a brand ambassador of Castrol, Sachin joins the illustrious list of Castrol Brand Ambassadors, which include many high profile names including Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Rahul Dravid and Adam Gilchrist.


World Sport Group manages the Tendulkar’s brand associations. The master blaster at present endorses a host of brands and companies, including Toshiba, ITC, Boost, Canon, RBS, Reynolds, Jaypee Cements and Aviva. Recently, Pune-based property developer, Amit Enterprises Housing had also signed him as its brand ambassador.


As per the reports, Sachin Tendulkar will also star in a special ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 marketing campaign. He as the ambassador for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will promote and support a variety of ICC initiatives for the tournament.
